The Pro-Democracy Protests in Hong Kong Nhan Phan (Chair) and Grady Larson (Vice-Chair) For the past two and a half years, Hong Kong has been a topic of global contention as the special administrative region grapples with increasing pressure from Beijing. Delegates will respond to new "crises" facing Hong Kong as it navigates a new era in its history. This committee will be a test of delegates’ ability to think creatively and quickly, stay true to their country's stance, and negotiate with other delegates to reach a compromise. |

The Situation in Ukraine Anderson Lynch (Chair) and Thomas Roper (Vice-Chair) Ukraine has been invaded. Though not a NATO country, the consequences for the alliance are clear. Delegates will discuss and act on the pressing issue, utilizing the broad economic and military powers of it's members to come to Ukraine's aid and protect Western democracy. |

Overcrowding and Climate Issues Vibha Udayakumar (Chair) and Jasper Chen (Vice-Chair) The world's largest refugee camp is overcrowded and facing major issues. Overcrowding. Fires. Lack of resources. The board of directors of the camp, made up of NGOs, government officials, UN representatives, and many others, must come to a solution that both protects the refugees and establishes better systems for the future. |
