Topic: Future of AI
Description:
As our world is rapidly changing before our eyes, artificial intelligence has risen to the forefront of modern innovation. With more developments in AI come new possibilities we would have never imagined just a few years ago. We are all probably familiar with AI through programs such as ChatGPT or home chatbots such as Alexa or Sir. However, beyond that, artificial intelligence has been incorporated in almost every sector of our lives, changing the landscape of business as usual. Ranging from healthcare where AI is used both to help formulate diagnosis and treatment plans to entertainment where AI is used to study user behavior and tailor feeds to each user, it is truly everywhere. However, with these new developments and realized potential come several issues. How should the UN regulate new developments? How can we protect our job market with the growing threat of automated labor? These are some of the questions you will be answering. It is imperative for unilateral cooperation in order to both protect our present and innovate for the future.

Hey, my name is Jake Creelan. I use he/him pronouns. I am a rising senior at Exeter. Originally, I am from New York City. I have been a part of Exeter MUN since my prep year and was a vice-chair at PEAMUN last year. Outside of MUN, I play cello in the orchestra and work for the Exonian, our newspaper, along with playing baseball in the spring. I’m really looking forward to PEAMUN, and can’t wait to see everyone in committee.
