Our Economic and Social Councils
ECOSOCs, short for Economic and Socials, are medium-large committees ranging from 35-70 delegates that deal with issues of economic and social importance. In this organ, delegates may debate about more specialized, more nuanced topics, giving them the opportunity to dive deeper into the issues. Debate in ECOSOCs is often more engaging, as delegates have more time to express their positions and engage with one another. The smaller size of ECOSOCs often forces delegates to work together to develop solutions and merge their ideas. We hope that delegates will emerge from an ECOSOC with a better appreciation for the value of compromise and diplomacy.
