Topic: Formula 1 Environmental Concerns
Description:
In this committee, delegates will assume the roles of prominent figures in Formula 1, from team principals and CEOs to former and current drivers. Your aim will be to discuss and target how current Formula 1 policies and standards affect the climate crisis, create solutions detailing what steps can or should be taken to improve this impact, and present your stances in a comprehensive working resolution. Prior to committee, through both the background guide and individual research, delegates should build a general understanding of the history and current issues in Formula 1. Please also see the background guide for information on position papers. While the chair looks forward to passionate debate, delegates are also expected to maintain a respectful environment throughout the committee. Above all, we hope to create an exciting experience for all delegates and have you leave knowing a bit more about the wonderful motorsport world.

Hey everyone! My name is Akshara and I’m a junior at Exeter. I’ve been doing MUN for two years and my first conference as a delegate was actually PEAMUN! I ran a crisis committee last year and had a wonderful time. Besides MUN, I run the girls powerlifting club on campus, volunteer at our mailroom, and I love taking philosophy and history courses. For me, home is Palo Alto, California but on campus I live in Lamont Hall. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions and I look forward to meeting all of you!

Hi! My name is Tania Luchak (she/her), and I am a senior from Chernivtsi, Ukraine. Before doing MUN, I have always enjoyed learning about international relations by participating in exchange programs and intercultural activities. Despite becoming a recent discovery, Model United Nations opened up an exciting realm of debate, research, and global affairs for me. On campus, I also choreograph for the dance company and pursue environmental initiatives. Moreover, I love learning about the law of the European Union, focusing on Ukrainian integration within the EU. I enjoy all things humanities and am very excited to join this committee as a Vice-Chair!
