Our General Assemblies

General Assemblies are PEAMUN’s largest committees, ranging from 100 to 150 delegates in size. The General Assembly is one of the six main organs of the United Nations, the only one in which all Member States have equal representation to discuss and work together on a wide array of international issues covered by the UN Charter, such as development, peace and security, international law. Debate in GAs is lively, as delegates must balance their responsibilities to their respective nations, allies, and the committee as a whole. We hope that delegates will leave committee with a thorough understanding of the promises and pitfalls of international diplomacy.
