Topic: Prometheus, Stolen Fire
The humans shivered in fear and cold. Because they didn’t have any of the traits of the gods and were now stripped of fire, they were in crisis. Prometheus was so outraged that he climbed the steep rocks of Mount Olympus all the way to the top to the workshop of Hephaestus. Hephaestus’s workshop is a forge where the weapons and tools of the gods are made. Prometheus crept to the huge anvil and the glowing fire of the hearth and took a spark of the gods’ fire and stored it in a vessel he made. He brought the spark back to the humans and taught them the things they would need to stay strong.

Hi Delegates! My name is Jade Yoo and I’m a current upper (junior) from the Bay Area in California. This is my fifth year doing Model UN, and fourth time staffing a conference! The highlight of my MUN experiences so far would be winning best delegate at Harvard Model Congress and Yale MUN. I really love eating bingsoo (Korean shaved ice), reading, singing karaoke with friends, and binge watching shows. Outside of MUN, some of the activities I’m passionate about include student council, debate, dance, and ESSO. I’m really excited to chair for PEAMUN and I hope I can help create an amazing experience for you guys!

Hi Delegates! My name is Gina Hasegawa, and I’m a Lower (10th grader) at Phillips Exeter Academy. I’m from Bainbridge Island, Washington State, but I recently moved to Tokyo, Japan, last Spring. I started attending Model UN meetings in 9th grade and am excited for our Prometheus Crisis Committee with Jade and Eilena. Outside of Model UN, I help with the Art and Activism club, the Japanese American Society, and environmental groups! I love sketching, painting, eating instant noodles, and jogging for fun. I’m looking forward to staffing, seeing everyone, and getting to know all of you in the committee!
