Topic: The Haymarket Affair
Description: This committee takes place in Chicago in 1886, following the infamous 'Haymarket Affair.' During the affair, a bomb was thrown into a group of police during a union protest, leading to mass hysteria, and a nationwide hatred of a group of anarchists blamed for the violence. Delegates will have to cooperate to piece together their idea of 'justice,' and work to create long term solutions for the laborers of Chicago.

Hi! My name is Nat (she/her), and I am so excited to be your chair for this committee! I have been involved in MUN since my freshman year, and it is truly one of my favorite clubs on campus. I am really passionate about political engagement (I am a cohead of Exeter's democratic club and socialist union), and I am so excited to hear you all engage in debate. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music (I've been listening to a lot of The Velvet Underground lately), making earrings, biking, and thinking about math (I am also a founder of our school's Geometry Club). I'm so excited to meet you all - and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, or just want to talk more about the committee!

Hello! My name is Sophia Marya (she/her) and I am in the class of 2026. Off campus, I live in San Francisco, California. I have been doing Model UN since 6th grade, and I am so excited to be a staffer at PEAMUN XV! On campus, I am an avid member of geography club and I also love to cook and bake. I like exploring new places both in California and New Hampshire, and on the weekends you can find me at the bookstore in town or walking around with my friends.
